The Public Broadcasting Services has just announced the first phase being over meaning that a panel of judges have heard all of the 141 entries submitted in this years' selection with the number that made it through being unknown. It is expected that we will be having more details in due course through the evening news on their respective station. The news actually comes as a surprise with no dates being published beforehand as to increase the sheer surprise of it all. No news update about the Malta Eurosong was shown through Television Malta.

The Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2011 which is being spearheaded by the Public Broadcasting Services Chief Executive Officer, Anton Attard, Delegation Member, Anna Dalli and recently appointed consultant, Norman Hamilton will be moving onto phase two now following the announcement sent through email to each respective artist. The next phase of the competition will be staged between Saturday and Sunday at the Public Broadcasting Services building in Gwardamangia yet the results of this phase will probably be announced in the beginning of January.

We will be doing our best to keep you posted with what will be going about from the outside of the site and will as always keep you adjourned with it all. ESCflashmalta have spoken to the Chief Executive Officer of the Public Broadcasting Services who stated that everything is moving at a good pace at this stage and that the singers that made it through are being contacted individually. He did not comment on what the judges thought about the quality of the songs yet this will be seen when the final twenty four (24) are announced at some point within the first week of the competition. The media cannot be present within the venue of the audition stage next weekend but I personally assure you that we will be bringing you the latest news from the surroundings of the venue. Some names that have made it through include:
