As said in the schedule for the day, following the first dress rehearsal which saw the second semi-final being run-through for the very first time, there was a press conference held between the Norwegian broadcaster, NRK and the Eurovision Song Contest organiser, EBU which exclusively saw some revelations about the first semi-final voting as well as the provisional setup for 2011.

The executive supervisor of the European Broadcasting Union being none other than Svante Stockselius said that he is "happy with voting, it was a fair voting" whilst he also said that "it was a close race between the last country to qualify and the first country not to qualify, a margin of 3 points". In the meantime, he said that a particular country did not even reach enough calls and the Jury votes were used to full extent. There were some problems with the sync during the show although this was only down to certain broadcasters as the signal from Norway was perfect. With regards to the Jury, Svante said that there were quite "a pretty good bunch" as they included "a couple of former performers, and one former winner". The provisional dates for next year are 17th May, 19th May and 21st May. The EBU is also trying to bring back Italy saying that they "discuss every year, getting closer, but are not quite there".
