The first day of rehearsals yesterday was mostly a success with the Public Broadcasting Services bringing in equipment and individuals from Italy in order to make sure that the sound in the venue and on television is of exceptional quality. Each participant had the allocation of twenty-five minutes which meant some four (4) to five (5) run-troughs although later on in the evening when ESCflashmalta was on hand near the venue, there were some issues which needed to be solved hence, there was also six run-troughs for certain performers. According to multiple sources, viewers and audience members are going to…
Whilst some people manage to shine quickly in their careers, others might be taking that step back before coming into full circle making sure that appreciation is key to being achieved at the right and opportune moment in time. Over the years, the local music industry has seen a number of people come out of their shells; bring about their very own material with the sheer dire consequences of not thinking it through. This is surely the wrong way to go about things especially when working longer one material would ultimately suffice in sublime preparation. The issue is that it…
One of the most intriguing things in life that has been studied on a number of occasions due to an ever long lasting presence is none other than the shadow and once someone steps into the metaphorical shadow of someone else, it would be somewhat extremely difficult to come out of it and therefore an individual solo presentation would be deemed to be quite impossible. Whether the shadow is that of family or friends, it does not make a difference because apart from the fact that decisions need to be made in a correct manner, life should be lived different…
The Spanish selection has now been moved to the 3rd March, and it will be aired live through the national channel known as 'TVE 1' and through a satellite channel known as 'TVE International Europe'. Three songs will be sung by Pastora, out of which 2 have been chosen by her. The 3rd song will be chosen via a public online voting on the RTVE Eurovision website. VE has informed esctoday.com that the Spanish 2012 Eurovision Song Selection show will be held on March the 3rd. The show will be aired live on TVE 1 and TVE International Europe. Pastora…

The Slovakian entry and representative will be officially announced at a press conference on the 1st March 2012, after STV, the Slovakian broadcaster announced the news on its official Eurovision Facebook page. Way back in December, STV confirmed that they would be choosing their entry and representative internally and hence, would not have a national final. Slokvakia debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest back in 1994 when the event took place in Dublin, Ireland but their results have been less than satisfacotry finishing at the lower echelons of the scoreboard on more than one occasion. Following their departure in 1998,…
The preparations for the 2012 edition of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest are currently ongoing as the first day of rehearsals at the venue kicked off earlier today with the hope of getting through each and every aspect of the twenty-four (24) performances. This is the very first time that the Public Broadcasting Services has banned all respective local and international media from the run-up to the show due to the fact that some artists have a hard time handling constructive criticism and points which would ultimately help in improvement. There has been a lot of furor in the past…

Preparations are in full swing, contestants are rehearsing day and night to give their 100% during this Friday’s semi-final, hoping that it will be the performance which will take them straight to Saturday’s final. From their on, their only hope will be to triumph and get the ticket to Baku. Before all of this happens, Television Malta will be airing a live pre-final show on Saturday 4th February…
An artist brings about his talent in any period of time whether he is being phased with success or disappointments because that is the type of industry that is currently representing individuals with great vocal capabilities. The problem is that talent founds itself in influx and therefore ones' position can be stolen relatively easily with the possibility of being forgotten and only remembered within historical records. The ever growing prowess of the local music industry has reflected this idea but then again, the artists who decided to return have done so in a manner which could not only be deemed…
