Lynn Chircop, a successful female vocalist and musician, who had the immense opportunity to represent Malta at the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest with “To Dream Again”, was recently one of the special guests on “The Celebrity Night”, a Saturday night chat show hosted by Deo Grech on F Living.

In a short interview, she revealed that she had thought twice about going to the international music competition, due to many reasons I had wished I could postpone my opportunity to represent Malta after winning but considering the odds the experience turned out to be fruitful for my career and a person with other dreams to follow.

Asked by Deo Grech about the possibility of a return to the Malta Eurovision Song Contest, Lynn stated that she has written a song for every edition of the event since then, meaning that she has written no less than 12 possible entries, but never submit any of them. As many beforehand have stated, ‘never say never’.

In a second question, asked by lyricist Emil Calleja Bayliss, about whether she has ever thought of partaking in a competition with an original entry in Maltese, Lynn was even more positive noting that it is something she would like to do in the future, if time permits. We urge you to stay tuned to escflashmalta.com even through Facebook and Twitter for all the latest news about the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria.

Janice Mangion, an exceptional female vocalist, whose emergence onto the local music circuit was established through "L-Isfida", a talent show which brought together the three artistic disciplines; singing, dancing, and acting, in hope of finding a true all-rounder. Ina Robinich, the second guest of the programme this evening is also a skilled female vocalist, who gained positive repute following her masterful interpretation of the song "Wellidni" composed by Dominic Cini to the lyrics of Deo Grech. The song went onto win L-Għanja tal-Poplu 2004, amidst a flurry of discussion, noting that the subject was extremely fragile, and still is. Ina would perform in groups, duets, and solos, going onto reach the finals of the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza, and the Summer Hit Song Contest on more than one occasion.

Mark Tonna, a male singer/songwriter, who is considered a veteran of the local music scene, requires no introduction, having been a finalist in most national competitions; Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza, L-Għanja tal-Poplu, The International Festival of Maltese Song, and the Malta Eurovision Song Contest. His most recent appearance, back in 2013, at the International Festival of Maltese Song, saw him finish in second place with the song "Poeta Bla Kliem", composed by Mark Scicluna to the lyrics of Emil Calleja Bayliss, missing out on victory by just a mere 3 points.

The second guest on the show, is also a singer/songwriter, but a female one, and a pioneer in country music. I am referring to Marisa D'Amato, a former Malta Eurovision Song Contest participant, and a radio broadcaster, aiming to promote country music to the masses. The third and final guest for this week is Natius Farrugia, co-host of the Summer Hit Song Contest and also Mayor of Zurrieq. His love towards the local music scene and the Eurovision in general, has been well documented throughout the years, and as a result, has always been on the forefront of promoting artists who strive to succeed.
