SMRTV, the broadcaster responsible for the participation of San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest have recently announced that their representative for next years' competition will be none other than Valentina Monetta. The female artist has already taken to the stage in 2012 with the track The Social Network Song and in 2013 with the song Crisalide (Vola) both composed by the legendary Ralph Siegel. In a surprise choice, she will once more represent the micro-state after failing to qualify with a mere couple of points, finishing in eleventh place within the semi-final. It seems that Valentina has learnt from her mistakes and will kick off her promotional tour rather early.

Stockholm, the capital city of Sweden and one of the initial cities in contention to host this years' edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will be hosting the annual Pride which supports the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community in the whole continent. Valentina is one of the several artists who has been included in the line-up of performers for the event noting that other acts from the world of the Eurovision Song Contest include; Roberto Bellarosa (Belgium 2013), Margaret Berger (Norway 2013), Lys Assia (Switzerland 1956-1958), Roger Pontare and Marie Bergman (Sweden 1994), Krista Siegfrids (Finland 2013), Ryan Dolan (Ireland 2013), Emmelie de Forest (Denmark 2013) and Gina G (United Kingdom 1996). The event is set to take place on the 1st August and remember that considering that the event is taking place in Sweden, Valentina is surely thinking well as she begins a promotional tour in support of her 2014 Eurovision Song Contest participation.
