Denmark, the country which is set to host next years' edition of the Eurovision Song Contest following the victory of the song Only Teardrops performed by Emmelie de Forest is seemingly receiving interest for representation by a number of talented vocalists. Shaya, a Greek/Danish artist has recently embarked on a solo career following a successful stint in the beginning of the past decade as part of the girl-band, Hi 5 which was created in Greece through the show Popstars. Shaya wishes to go to the Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of Denmark and has publicly stated that she submitted a song to the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2013 but it was not selected as part of the final line-up.

Marianna or Shaya, as she is professionally known is somewhat quite reputable in Greece having even participated in Dancing on Ice, where she finished in fifth place. Shaya states that she will be hoping to get her chance at the international competition by virtue of submitting another entry into the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix in 2014. With a considerably high profile in Greece and Cyprus, Shaya could very much offer to represent one of the two  nations and it would not really come as a surprise with the female vocalist stating that she has submitted songs in several countries along recent years. In recent weeks, she performed with Ivi Adamou, Cypriot representative at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest during the MAD VMA. Stay tuned to escflashmalta.com for all of the latest news.
