Claudia Faniello, a regular face at the Malta Eurovision Song Contest throughout the years, has decided to opt out of the competition for the second consecutive occasion. The reasoning behind this is relatively straightforward, with the female singer/songwriter currently working on her sophomore album, the follow-up to the successful debut "Convincingly Better" which was released on the CAP-Sounds imprint.

The lead single off the record, "When It's Time" was a participating entry in the 2013 edition of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest and peaked at number #2 on Malta's Top Ten with Nathan D. It was the beginning of a different journey for Claudia, something that was given more life with the release of the second single "One Fine Day". Supported by a music and lyric video, all done in an extremely professional manner, the song managed to top Malta's Top Ten on 89.7 Bay for more than 3 weeks in a row.

Claudia Faniello follows in the footsteps of Davinia, as former runner-ups who will not be sending in any submissions for the 2015 Malta Eurovision Song Contest. You may support both female singer/songwriters through their official accounts on social networking website, Facebook. In the meantime, we urge you to stay tuned to escflashmalta.com even through Facebook & Twitter for all the latest news.

Claudia Faniello, a female singer/songwriter and three-time runner-up at the Malta Eurovision Song Contest has released a music video to accompany her latest single "One Fine Day". The song co-written with Errol Sammut, lead vocalist of Airport Impressions and produced by Sean Vella, son of the well known songwriter Philip Vella sees Claudia experiment with a new musical genre, focusing on a sound which is predominantly acoustic.

The music video, which has already amassed more than 3,000 views, is fun, fresh and extremely juvenile. Nevertheless, it is surrounded by an aura of professionality and shows that Claudia is not only returning to the music scene with a brand new sound, but that she has also matured and learned from the past. It is highly unlikely that the veteran of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest will make a return to Malta's national selection in the near future but then again, when such music is still being released by the singer/songwriter, it is a pleasure to have her around. "One Fine Day" co-written by Errol Sammut and Claudia Faniello, the latter providing the vocals is the first release of the hotly anticipated sophomore album. Since finishing in second place at the Malta Eurovision Song Contest for the second time back in 2012, Claudia has been riding a surge of popularity, performing at major events including Rockestra and Ġensna amongst others.

Her latest release, a new entry at number #9 on Malta's Top Ten with Nathan D earlier this week, has been receiving rave reviews from both the public and critics alike. The female vocalist has always been seen in a positive light, noting that her raspy vocal adds that special something, a quality which not many artists have. CAP-Sounds, the company responsible for the recent releases of Daniel Testa, Amber, Fabrizio Faniello, Miriam Christine and Rikki Lee is responsible for the publishing rights and have put the song up for purchase on digital stores worldwide, including iTunes. Claudia Faniello, a female singer/songwriter and three-time runner up at the Malta Eurovision Song Contest has released a new single entitled 'One Fine Day'. The song, co-written with Errol Sammut, lead vocalist of Airport Impressions comes following a short absence from the local music scene, and sees Claudia experiment with a new musical genre, focusing mainly acoustic guitars, piano and a jovial melody.

She commented “It is nothing like I’ve done in the past, it has a feel-good factor which I love and it talks about situations that everyone can relate to. I have taken my time to concentrate on how I want my sound to be like and especially what stories I want to tell through my music. This is a taste of what I’ve been working on and evolving into.”  A music video accompanying the song will be available in the coming weeks whilst a lyric video has already been uploaded for public viewing. More information about Claudia Faniello on her Official Facebook Page as well as her official website, which will be launched soon.
