It is a fair comment to pass that bands whose sound does not evolve, are somewhat archaic and stuck. Red Electrick have definitely made this their mantra, having developed a sound which, whilst instantly recognisable, is also very current. Their latest release "Young Again", echoes a similar aura to "Paul", their hit single from 2013, but this is bigger, and better, not too mention, featuring the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra.

Matthew James Borg, Raphael Tonna, Ivan Borg, Jonas Delicata and Peter Borg are without a doubt extremely talent musicians, with a true penchanct for live performances. Yet, the standout element surely has to be the distinctive vocal performance of Matthew James Borg, who has proven on countless occasions, that when the music is stripped back, his voice is vulnerable to the surrounding air, creating gooseflesh, leaving a mark, a deep meaning and an eventual yearning for more.

Winners of the Best Band and the Best Song accolade at the 2014 Malta Music Awards solidified their position in the local music industry. In support of the single release, Red Electrick have issued a music video, produced by Stargate Studios, one which has already amassed more than 12,000 views on YouTube. We urge you to stay tuned to escflashmalta.com even through Facebook and Twitter for all the latest news.

Dean Muscat, an accomplished male songwriter who co-wrote "Tomorrow", sung by Gianluca Bezzina during the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, has recently turned his attention to becoming a lead vocalist, issuing his debut single, "Twentysomething". A guitar led ballad, with hints of wind chimes and a harmonica, there is a certain aura which quickly reminds the listener of a Ben Howard album track, one which stands out from the rest.

"Twentysomething", written and recorded by Dean Muscat at home, was then professionally mixed and mastered by Robin Ball and Ivan Jackman. Since being uploaded onto YouTube, it has amassed well over a 1,000 views, as well as a string of positive comments. Dabbling into the art of performance, Dean Muscat is hoping to spread around a positive message, one which brings out emotion. 'The Celebrity Night' is the new Saturday night show which will be broadcast on Saturday night at 20:30 on F Living Channel. The series which officially kicked off a couple of weeks ago, revolves around the one-to-one interviews, which speak of class, decadence and wit, and have become synonymous with Deo Grech's presenting style.

Domenique, a female vocalist, who recently gained prestige and notoriety as a result of her victory at the Summer Hit Song Contest 2014 with the song "Back To", written by Mark Scicluna and Emil Calleja Bayliss, is clearly on a high, having also been a semi-finalist in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2015. She is clearly the most recognisable guest in this week's episode. Nevertheless, she will not be along, and is set to be joined by Ġorg tad-Downats, a television and radio host, as well as Carlos Farrugia, a veteran actor.

This Monday, Fabrizio Palma will be over to give out a masterclass to all the singers who apply for it. The better part of this opportunity is that one will not just be working with, but the Maltese will be singing a part of a song, preferably in Italian or English, and before he leaves Malta, Palma will pick one of the artists that has been at his masterclass, for him to write a single to.

Fabrizio Palma is a well renowned artist when it comes to the Italians and enjoys wide fame throughout Europe, mostly in Malta too. He is best known for being a vocal coach on the shows with worldwide fame ‘Ti Lascio Una Canzone’, where the last winner was our very own Federica Falzon, and also he is the vocal coach on the competition ‘Amici’ of Maria De Filippi. This event is available at our singer’s hand thanks to Claire McCartin Vocal Studio and OltreOceano Festival Live. Claire McCartin is a certified IVA vocal teacher in Malta and also is one of the very few teachers in Malta who leads her students to the Pop Music Exams from Rockschool.

Claire McCartin is a recognizable figure in the local music industry, having been in the finals of the Malta Eurosong competition back in 2010 with “Ole Satchmo Blues”, as well as being one of the lead vocalists in the charity concert “Voices” which is staged every other year. Karl Schembri had won the contest of OltreOceano Festival Live lately and it has made a huge connection between the Maltese Islands and the Maltese people, having got contacts with Claire McCartin so as to bring things like these to Malta.

In February, female singer/songwriter Ira Losco had the opportunity to co-host the national final for the Eurovision Song Contest alongside Gianluca Bezzina. This was the role of a lifetime, and one which they were asked to reprise for the 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, an opportunity which they jointly declined due to other plans, including Gianluca's participation with L-Aħwa and the possibility of Ira Losco's return to the competition.

In a recent interview with Wiwibloggs, Ira Losco went on record stating that the timing of a possible participation in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest was inadequate with two singles yet to be released off her latest studio album "The Fire", before work on new material officially commences. Seen as a massive means of exposure to the international music market, the singer/songwriter does not rule out a possible return in 2016, but only with the right song.

Following Amber's victory at the 2015 Malta Eurovision Song Contest, Ira Losco sent out a message of congratulations to the whole team of "Warrior", including Elton Zarb and Matthew Mercieca, stating that it was a deserved victory, and she will be backing the whole entourage.
