Flame”, co-written by Kelly Schembri, Katie Jones and Warren Meyers, with vocals provided by the group Monroe, was a submission in the 2014-2015 edition of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest, set to take place on the 21st and 22nd November at the Marsa Shipbuilding. Nevertheless, after failing to get through to the final phase of the competition, the songwriters thought it best to release the song, and they have done just that by sending it in as a submission in Switzerland, a competing country in the Eurovision Song Contest which allows foreign singers, and songwriters to put their names forward.

Flame” which features the vocals of Katie Jones, Kelly Schembri and Nadia Vella is a modern ballad which would definitely not be out of place on a studio album released by The Saturdays or Little Mix. Warren Meyers, one of the songwriters and also the lead producer of the track, comes from a successful family of songwriters, with his father, David Meyers writing “Jack in the Box” for Cloadaugh Rodgers in the 1971 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, finishing in 4th place. We urge you to stay tuned to escflashmalta.com even through Facebook and Twitter for all the latest news about the 2015 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest.
