Birgit Õigemeel, the female vocalist who represented Estonia at the 2013 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest with the track Et Uus Saaks Alguse, reaching the final and finishing in a lowly twentieth position is set to continue her endeavours within the local music industry by virtue of a new single entitled Nii Täiuslik See which translates into This is So Perfect. Many might expect it to be a slow, quiet ballad but actually it is quite an uplifting track which infuses the sound of pop with indie.

Birgit Õigemeel garnered fame in Estonia by winning the very first edition of Idol, entitled Eesti Otsib Superstaari which saw her sign a record deal and release three albums and sixteen singles, all of which have been extremely successful in the charts. She had tried to represent her country at the Eurovision Song Contest on three ocassions and in my honest opinion, her first entry back in 2008 entitled 365 Days was definitely the one which should have been her swan song. Nevertheless, she got her opportunity and despite initially thinking that qualification was difficult, she made it through by the skin of her teeth. The latest track entitled Nii Täiuslik See is written by Mihkel Mattisen, th same individual behind the song presented at this years' Pan-European competition. Stay tuned to for all of the latest news.
