Johnny Logan, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of Ireland on three occasions, twice as a vocal artist and once as a songwriter is set to visit Malta in the summer months for a special performance at the Għaxaq Music Festival on 7th August 2013. The renowned performer has published fifteen studio albums across three decades, with his first entitled What's Another Year, also the name of his debut victory at the international contest in 1980, and the last of which was back in 2010 bearing the name Nature of Love. He consistently performs across Europe and was actually one of the guests at this years' edition of the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix.

In Ireland, Johnny Logan has not always been met with positive acclaim in recent years having spoken out against the choices that the nation has made especially considering that he has contributed to three of the seven successes. As a matter of fact, his latest victory was in 1992, the same year in which Malmo was hosting the annual event, with the song Why Me? performed by Linda Martin. It managed to garner the attention of the juries, just ahead of Malta who were represented by Mary Spiteri and Little Child. We would like you to stay tuned to escflashmalta.com for more of such stories in the next couple of weeks as the portal turns into a hub for the local music scene during the hot, summer months.
