Turkey is not even close to being one of the more recent countries in the Eurovision Song Contest with a history which dates back to 1975 thus making their upcoming entry the thirty-fifth albeit, not in succession. It has to be noted that since the introduction of the semi-final format, qualification has always been close by with just one failure in six occasions, that coming back in 2011 when the group Yuksek Sadakat took to the stage with their entry Live It Up which was quite similar to the nations' previous effort the year before when they had managed to finish in the first runner-up position. There has been a lot of talk on whether the nation should continue to take part due to a number of elements but 2013 is a certainty at this stage and therefore, with the help of people in the Turkey music industry, a number of suggestions have been passed on forward as the involvement in the competition gains a pace.

It seems that despite the obvious choices which are seemingly becoming boring in terms of rumours, namely those involving the likes of TarkanAtiye and Murat Boz, there is one name which is receiving ample publicity and that is none other than Aynur Aydin. The young performer has been working on her debut album in the Scandinavian country of Sweden which will play host to the annual music event. The individuals that she has been working with including Tony Nilsson and singer/songwriter Darin have worked with some of the best people in the music industry including Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Anna Vissi and Jennifer Lopez. Public perception is always the key to success in the choice of a representative or an entry and it seems that TRT are taking that into consideration as they posted a status on their official social network page on Facebook asking 'Which Artist/Group should represent Turkey at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden?'.  The answers are diverse but certain names do tend to stick out more from the rest. Stay tuned to escflashmalta.com for all of the latest news as soon as it becomes available.
