The Swiss selection for the annual Eurovision Song Contest is somewhat always an intriguing affair with artists from all over the world at a possibility to submit within the online platform which has been offered for the past three years by the main broadcaster, SF which deals with the German speaking part of the country. The deadline to send in the songs will officially come to an end on Monday 8th October 2013 following two extensions as per the amount of quality songs that have been submitted or rather lack of them at times. Nevertheless, it seems that the best possible entries for this procedure are coming towards the end because it has now officially been confirmed that the popular pop/opera group from The Netherlands known as Los Angeles, The Voices will be submitting one of three songs in the Swiss online platform and the decision of which song to submit is in the hands of the public.

Earlier today, the renowned group which also features Gordon Heuckeroth, former frontman of 2010 Dutch Eurovision Song Contest representatives, The Toppers who failed to make it through to the finals with the track Shine released the tracks with which they would like to compete with in Switzerland but it is up to the people to select the song that they will ultimately submit into the Swiss selection procedure, hoping that it will ultimately make it through with the last batch which will be announced in a matter of weeks. The songs, all of which feature the penmanship of Gordon himself bear the name; Wild White Horses, Change in Gonna Come and Guiding Light. They feature a variety of genres within the groups' main element of pop/opera which could be described to have been somewhat resoundingly successful back in 2009 when Malena Ernman took to the stage of the Eurovision Song Contest with La Voix finishing in a mediocre final position. Voting for the tracks is taking place on RTL, Song Festival Web Log, and also Life4You where the results will be revealed on the television programme tomorrow night. The promotional campaign for the group as they plan to release a brand new album is surely working. Stay tuned to escflashmalta.com for all of the latest news as soon as it becomes available.
