'The Celebrity Night' is a weekly television programme which has become somewhat synonymous with Saturday evening, is broadcast on F Living Channel. The series which officially kicked off at the beginning of October revolves around the one-to-one interviews, which speak of class, decadence and wit, and have become synonymous with Deo Grech's presenting style. Joseph Refalo, a male vocalist, student of Pamela Bezzina at Vocal Booth Studios, who is quickly becoming an established performer in his own right, having made it through to the final phase of the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza, and the Summer Hit Song Contest, not too mention having had the opportunity to be on stage of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest, once as part of the interval act along with the cast of the drama series 'D.R.E.A.M.S' which aired on Television Malta, and once as a backing vocalist to Franklin Calleja during "Still Here", an original song…
Davinia, a twenty-two year old female singer/songwriter, recently relocated to the United States of America in order to pursue a music career in a foreign country, hoping to break through on another level, has been humming melodies, and scribbling down lyrics with songwriter Nick Lopez. One of the advanced projects which they had been working on at length was the original song “Round & Round” which is being presented as Davinia’s brand new single, and the first in 2015. This serves as a follow-up to “Ouch!”, produced by Carlo Gerada and co-penned with Matt ‘Muxu’ Mercieca and “Brand New Day”, composed by Elton Zarb and penned by Matt ‘Muxu’ Mercieca’. In tune with a warm expectant summer, “Round & Round” is a fine mixture of pop, rhythm & blues, funk as well as soul, four genres which Davinia has previously had the opportunity to perform separately but not as a…
With temperatures already soaring at 29 Degrees Celsius, it is fair to say that Malta is looking towards an excruciatingly warm summer. Nevertheless, the public will hope to find solace in the blissful tunes that will emerge out of the local music industry, two (2) of which were made public earlier this week, "Keep Me In Love" by The New Victorians and "2 Hot 2 Handle" by Johnny Vincent & Rikki Lee. "Keep Me In Love", the second single by The New Victorians, taken from their upcoming debut album set to be released later on this month, is a genre of music which has not been really experimented upon in Malta, yet closely resembles the sound emitted by Lauren Aquilina, the singer/songwriter with Maltese descent who is based in the United Kingdom, and is currently signed to Island Records. In support of this release, an accompanying music video has been…

Lynn Chircop, a successful female vocalist and musician, who had the immense opportunity to represent Malta at the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest with “To Dream Again”, was recently one of the special guests on “The Celebrity Night”, a Saturday night chat show hosted by Deo Grech on F Living. In a short interview, she revealed that she had thought twice about going to the international music competition, due to many reasons I had wished I could postpone my opportunity to represent Malta after winning but considering the odds the experience turned out to be fruitful for my career and a person with other dreams to follow. Asked by Deo Grech about the possibility of a return to the Malta Eurovision Song Contest, Lynn stated that she has written a song for every edition of the event since then, meaning that she has written no less than 12 possible entries, but…

Fabrizio Faniello, the male singer/songwriter who has twice been chosen to represent Malta in Europe’s most favourite music competition, was one of the special guests on the television programme ‘Xarabank’, in a follow-up interview to the one which aired on Friday 13th. Clearly emotional, Fabrizio spoke about the various difficulties that he had to encounter, noting that such experiences have been life-changing and eye-opening. It is no secret that those who abuse of drugs or alcohol have had their lives disheveled, and therefore ‘Xarabank’ will be raising funds in support of the voluntary organisation ‘Caritas’ in a couple of weeks. In light of this development, Fabrizio Faniello has lent his distinct vocals to “Fit-Tarf tat-Triq”, an original song in Maltese which he co-composed with Noel Borg and Philip Vella, with lyrics by Peppi Azzopardi. The song has also been made available on all legal platforms like iTunes, Amazon, Spotify with…

"Mary Jane", the brand new single released by The Crowns, a pop/rock band which features; Gianluca Cappitta, Chris Ciantar, Victorio Gauci, Jean Paul Mollicone and Luke Vella Clark is the first track off the continuation of a journey, one which started in 2010, eventually leading to the release of the debut album "Someone Else" in 2013. Spawning 7 successful singles, including a remix, The Crowns have never looked back, and it seems like this new release will only lead to an extremely busy 2015. Co-produced by David Vella from Temple Studios, and mastered by Fred Kevorkian from Avatar Studios in the United States, “Mary Jane” is fresh, modern and finds itself promoting a lyrical twist, a twofold-meaning so to speak, due to the fact that it primarily refers to a woman, whilst secondarily referring to that same woman as a drug, which is addictive, and eventually destructive. In support of…
