Sweden: Brand New Single for Sarah Dawn FinerWritten by Marc Calleja Bayliss
One of the most intriguing facts about Scandinavian countries is that they unite together in presenting a solid music industry and therefore, artists can somewhat manage to enter the charts in the surrounding areas all the time should they present passion, talent and likability. One of the names who has always managed to hit the right notes due to having all of those qualities and even more is surely Sarah Dawn Finer who has continuously gained a name for herself since her debut in the Melodifestivalen, coming around five years ago with the stunning ballad bearing the title I Remember Love which finished in fourth place and also managed to sell well in Sweden achieving a gold disc. It has all been positive since then, so much so that her record label, Roxy Records have helped promote three albums with another one on the way noting that her latest single entitled Nu Vet Du Hur Det Känns has just been released.
Her debut album A Finer Dawn was a major success reaching the number #2 position in Sweden but her second Melodifestivalen participation with the track Moving On is the one which set her for even more success, one which was merited. The track made it through to the Second Chance stage from where she managed to make it through to the final, managing a sixth place position in the end. The song which was the lead single off the second album which bore the same name which peaked at number #1 as well. Despite the fact that she has not managed to go to the Eurovision Song Contest thus far, it is to be noted that she did read out the votes in her alterego Lynda Woodruuf. She is somewhat being touted as the next female host of the Eurovision Song Contest held in Malmo, Sweden hosted the 2012 edition of the Melodifestivalen to positive reviews.
