Ireland remains to be the most successful nation at the Eurovision Song Contest having managed to amass a record seven victories over the years surpassing the likes of the United Kingdom whose music industry is definitely stronger in comparison. For the past two years, the Emerald Isle was represented by Jedward, a set of twins who first came to fame by appearing on the British version of the X Factor franchise created by Simon Cowell where they managed to keep going on until finishing in sixth place. Despite the disappointment of not winning, they were signed up to a recording deal with Sony Music before moving onto Universal Music Ireland in just a couple of months as per the suggestion of their manager, Louis Walsh. Their first two offerings to the music industry being Planet Jedward and Victory resulted in number #1 albums in Ireland as well as certification of 2x Platinum, definitely something to keep up with their next material.

They are set to release their third album entitled Young Love later on this month in both the United Kingdom and in Ireland but their fan base in the former is far stronger and therefore, the guys should be just as successful over there. In this years' Eurovision Song Contest, the guys did not get the result that they wanted when they finished in nineteenth place as opposed to their eight place finish in the previous year. Despite their dismay in the competition, Universal Music along with Jedward have been working hard on this set of new material and they are ready to start promoting it with a brand new single which also bears the name of the album. A preview to the track has been made available for all of the fans to listen to and it seems that the quirky pop number is receiving a lot of positive comments up to this point. Stay tuned to escflashmalta.com for all of the latest news as soon as it becomes available.
